I am a writer, teacher, and book publisher in the fields of folk magic and divination and, with my husband, the co-owner of a metaphysical shop that specializes in the manufacture of hand-made, herb-based spiritual supplies for use by practitioners of hoodoo, rootwork, and conjure. I have been a dowser since the 1960s and dowsing holds a special place in my heart due to its long association with practical folk wisdom. I work with clients to dowse answers to questions about all aspects of life, and guide students to help them develop their own inherent capacities as diviners. I am a member of the board of directors of the Association of Independent Readers and Rootworkers (AIRR) and a co-founder of the Yronwode Institution for the Preservation and Popularization of Indigenous Ethnomagicology (YIPPIE).
