Purposes of the ASD: The American Society of Dowsers was formed in 1961. It is a non-profit organization run by volunteers. The society was created to: Facilitate networking among dowsers and organizational affiliates. Provide basic and continuing educational opportunities for members and encourage high ethical standards. Promote public awareness of and appreciation for the art of dowsing. Enable the development of new organizational affiliates. Cooperate with individuals and organizations doing research on dowsing phenomena and publishing their findings.
