Scientific and Spiritual Implications of Psychic Abilities
Why bother with ESP...

My hope is always to give people an increasing opportunity to experience the
part of themselves that is psychic. As a physicist, I was co-founder of the Stanford
Research Institute’s investigation into psychic abilities in the 1970s and 1980s for the
CIA and many other government agencies. This previously classified work is now
widely known as remote viewing. It is the ability that we all have to
describe and experience objects and events blocked from ordinary perception by
distance or time. We were The Real X-Files, looking at a Soviet weapons factory in
Siberia, a failed Chinese A-bomb test, a downed Soviet bomber in Africa, American
hostages in Iran, and even Patricia Hearst kidnapped in Berkeley. Remote viewing is a
natural and easy to learn ability, best indicated by the fact that there are now more
than a million pages of “remote viewing” on Google.
Buddhism, Hinduism, and modern physics all agree that we live in a non-local
universe. This is a multi-dimensional, quantum-interconnected world in which it is no
more difficult to see the hidden present than it is to describe the hidden future. We used
this approach for our highly successful forecasting of changes in the silver futures
market. Although remote viewing can be applied to finding your car keys, locating
parking spaces, and forecasting the stock market, I believe the most important use of
these abilities is the discovery of who we really are. That is, our experience that who
we are is non-local awareness -- much more than merely a physical body. Remote
viewing is not a spiritual path, but it definitely can show you that you have taken the
first steps to finding the highly usefull off switch for your normally chattering mind.
