The Convention Committee of the American Society of Dowsers are pleased to announce the location of the 2008 Annual Convention at the Killington Grand Hotel and Resort in Killington, Vermont.

As you can see from the photograph of the Grand Hotel, the site is on a very flat piece of land and has a large parking lot in front of it with easy access to the front door. There is a lot of flat land for labyrinths and dowsing activities including a lake to the rear.

All our convention events, including the bookstore, vendor area and spa corner, are located on one floor. All except the large membership gathering and the keynote address; these will be held a short walk away, over flat ground, to a large and attractive auditorium; shuttle buses especially for this event will also be available. The Grand Hotel is located in a very scenic valley, well known for both its summer and winter recreational activities.

The Grand Hotel amenities include a swimming pool and well-equipped gymnasium, 45 miles of hiking trails, 15 golf courses with access to one course just out the back door, tennis courts, and an adventure center. There is a front door with easy drive up access and a large parking lot in front of that.

There are hotel accommodations directly above the convention floor and accessible by elevator. You could stay inside the entire time, should you so choose!! There are also condominiums associated with the Hotel. These are located very near by and for a set fee dowsers can rent a suite that includes a kitchenette and a double bed, pull out bed - and lots of room for sleeping bags, should economy be a motivation for you. There are also motels nearby, from inexpensive to costly, which we will be providing you a list of. There is also, in the local area, an area where folks can have an RV hook up.

Moderately priced, good food in a buffet setting will be prepared for us according to our specifications and served in anarea reserved for us alone. We will all be able to eat together, for that wonderful dowser exchange that we all love to participate in. There is also a lounge and a restaurant on site and a town nearby with other options.

Travel to this site can occur in a number of ways. Killington is located in the middle of Vermont, with easy access from surrounding states and Canada. There is train service from major locations, including New York; a local airport but most people will fly into Manchester or Boston and drive up.

We already have some special side trips planned, including trips to the Norman Rockwell Museum, which is nearby. We are now working on the theme for the convention and scheduling our speakers.
